Alyssa Ruby’s
Overgrown

“I find solace in swooping clouds meeting lazy valleys, fish swimming through forests and bunnies migrating across the sky. I aim to create mystical for the everyday life through my exploration of fluffy creatures and cozy homes. Storybooks and folktales are ingrained in me since childhood; no one is too old for a little bit of magic. With an open mind, magic can be enjoyed by any age. With this necessity for whimsy, I try to portray these wonderous sights to be universally enjoyed.”

Alyssa’s work will be hung at The Typewriter through the end of October.

Take a class with us!

  • The owner and CEO is a trained art educator with a decade of experience as an art teacher in public schools. Teaching art to kids is magic and we are all about it! We even offer classes for you to take with your kiddos so you can see the magic too.

Check out our kid classes here!

We even have classes designed for little kids and their grown-ups, called “My Kid and Me” classes. Check em out!

  • Adults are the trickiest group of people to convince to take an art class. But we promise, it is so fun and low pressure. We grown-ups take so much way too seriously, taking an art class is an awesome way to let go and use your hands to make something new.

    Check out adult classes here!

  • Interested in a unique bonding experience that your people will always remember? Our art-making parties and events are a perfect way to build these lasting memories with groups of 20 or fewer.
