Come to a class where we can get creative and messy as we explore different techniques and methods for painting. In this 4 week long class, we'll go through the basics of painting with acrylics and learn all the different ways it can be used to make some cool art!
Designed for kids ages 6 and up!
We’ll learn…
How to mix color without making them muddy
Blending colors on the paper or canvas
Which brushes work best for what parts of the painting
Best practices while painting
How to take care of supplies
We’ll create:
Paintings on canvas
Practice drawings and sketches
Lots of memories!
All supplies included! Aprons available for use, but please wear clothes that can get messy. Acrylic paint is not reliably washable.
Instructor: Mal McDonald is an illustrator out of Stephens City, VA who earned her BFA at SCAD and has taught art to kids of all ages around the DMV area.
