12/18 - Tetrapak Printing
Thursday, December 18th
5:30-8:00 pm
Tetrapak is that weird material that chicken stock and plant-based milk cartons are often made of. Cardboard-ish but foil-lined. Making it a perfect surface for this ink-smearing printmaking method. Turn trash into treasure in this workshop!
Structured more for experimentation and exploration instead of direct instruction, this is a unique opportunity to explore this alternative intaglio-based printmaking technique. No pressure to create intricate drawings or polished products makes this course ideal for both art “beginners” and artists looking to learn a new process!
This course uses X-acto knives and sharp objects. Teens and adults welcome!
Instructor:
David Kiefer is an incredible local artist. His mixed media work explores the use of printmaking in combination with watercolor and inks. Check out his work!
