Learn the full process of linocutting in this printmaking workshop. Learn the satisfying art of carving away at your design and transferring it onto paper to see your final piece. Get to print your design to take home and maybe even some prints from your fellow class-goers.
All supplies included and you get to take home the carving tool!
Aprons available for use, but please wear clothes that can get messy. Block printing ink is not reliably washable.
Instructor: Mal McDonald is an illustrator out of Stephens City, VA who earned her BFA at SCAD and has taught art to folks of all ages around the DMV area. She is a comic book artist best known for her comic series "Mermaids Guide to Picking Up Men". Malone enjoys working in many different mediums, mostly colored pencils, painting and block printing. When she is not making art or attending comic cons, Malone is at home with her punk rocker husband either reading about fantasy worlds or choosing whether to rewatch "Lord of the Rings" or "Twilight".
