Have you ever imagined what you’d look like as a scary monster? In this Monster Portrait Painting class, kids and their parents will get the opportunity to learn about acrylic paint techniques and portrait painting, all while turning each other into terrifying monsters on canvas!
What you’ll learn:
Using your imagination to exaggerate or come up with brand new ways to draw facial features
How hilarious and brilliant your kid (or grown-up) really can be
How much fun it is to play with your kid THROUGH the act of creating
Painting techniques using acrylic paint
Portraiture techniques
All supplies included! Aprons available for use, but please wear clothes that can get messy. Acrylic paint is not reliably washable.
Instructor: Mal McDonald is an illustrator out of Stephens City, VA who earned her BFA at SCAD and has taught art to kids of all ages around the DMV area.
