Learning about art from all over the world and exploring the techniques and mediums used. The world is a more beautiful place when we value everyone’s contributions and humanity becomes stronger when we understand and appreciate the ideas and influences of people that are different from us. In this course students will also be introduced to the Elements of Art and Principles of design.
What to expect in each session:
We will observe, investigate, and learn about art from all over the world (including: Mexico, Japan, Australia, Canada, Chile, and Ghana) and learn about how ancient civilizations from around the world continue to influence art practices. Students will experiment with processes and techniques that connect to the artwork we learn about. Students will take home pieces when they are completed.
